There is no perfect construction site.
One construction site has very few defects or remaining work to report, while at another the construction defects run like a red thread through all areas.

The number of defects and remaining work is then significantly lower than without monitoring the construction site.
The quality controls accompanying construction are affordable and worthwhile in most cases.
You should therefore find out from the general contractor before starting construction whether he will use a building surveyor himself for self-monitoring or whether he will accept cooperation with an independent expert.
